Breathing should be effortless, for us, it wasn’t.

Respyria was born out of a simple truth, so many people go to bed every night struggling to do something as basic as breathe through their nose. We were among them.

For years, our founders battled disrupted sleep, constant congestion, and that familiar cycle of waking up exhausted no matter how long they slept. They tried everything, mouthguards, disposable nasal strips, sprays, humidifiers. Some helped a little. Most didn’t last. And none truly solved the problem. More importantly, none felt good to wear.

So we stopped looking for someone else to fix it, and decided to fix it ourselves.

Designing better breath.

We didn’t set out to build a product, we set out to build relief.

With backgrounds in design, biomedical science, and product engineering, our team spent months obsessing over airflow, structure, tension, and skin feel. The result was Respyria, a magnetic nasal strip designed to open your airways naturally, comfortably, and securely.

Unlike traditional nasal strips, Respyria doesn’t rely on flimsy adhesives or one-size-fits-all tension. Our magnetic tension system gently lifts and supports nasal passages without irritation. It's light. It's reusable. And most importantly, it works, night after night, breath after breath.

Meet Our Founder, Wei Zhang

Behind Respyria is Wei Zhang, the founder whose personal experience with difficult nasal breathing ultimately inspired the creation of the brand.

For years, Wei struggled with nights of congestion, mouth breathing, disrupted sleep, and waking up feeling like he hadn't rested properly. Like many people dealing with the same problem, he tried countless solutions, from traditional nasal strips and sprays to humidifiers and other nighttime breathing products.

Some provided temporary relief, but Wei was frustrated that he couldn't find something that combined effective nasal support with the comfort and simplicity he wanted for everyday use.

That frustration eventually became an idea.

Wei began researching the mechanics behind nasal breathing products, paying particular attention to how external tension could help support the nasal passages. What started as a search for a personal solution gradually developed into the concept behind Respyria.

Working alongside people with experience in product design, development, and manufacturing, Wei Zhang founded Respyria with one goal, to create a better and more comfortable approach to supporting nasal breathing.

Wei remained closely involved as the idea progressed through different concepts, prototypes, testing, and refinements. He wanted Respyria to be something he would genuinely feel comfortable using himself, not simply another product created to enter an already crowded market.

Today, Wei continues to guide Respyria with the same philosophy that inspired him to start it. Customer experiences and feedback remain an important part of how the brand develops, and every improvement is approached with the same question Wei asked at the beginning:

How can we make breathing feel simpler?

What started as Wei Zhang's personal search for a better solution has grown into Respyria and a community of customers around the world.

For Wei, however, the purpose remains personal.
